What
are Aircells?
AirCells are the world's most advanced fork
control chambers.
What
will the AirCells do?
AirCells were scientifically designed to
control the compressed air pressures and
flow rates in your forks. AirCells will improve
the feel of stock, modified or the high dollar "works
forks" - Guaranteed!
AirCells reduce the harsh feeling over braking
and acceleration bumps, whoops, tree roots,
rocks and over-jumping. Also, the cornering
is improved dramatically! Head-shake is reduced
or eliminated, arm pump and fatigue are reduced
as well. The AirCell Fork Air Control System
will equalize the air pressures of both forks,
creating a totally balanced front-end feel!
They are absolutely the best Fork Tanks you
can buy! Period!!
How hard
is it to install the AirCells?
AirCells can easily be installed in a few
minutes! No drilling or tapping of the fork
caps is required. Simply remove the vent
screw from the fork caps and install the
supplied special stainless steel fittings.
Attach the AirCells to the forks, in-between
the top and bottom triple clamps, behind
the number plate/headlight assembly and then
connect the AirCels to the fork cap fittings
with the supplied, high-pressure tubing.
You are finished! Go ride and enjoy!
Do AirCells
need any maintenance?
Almost none! You will never have to worry
about the oil accumulating in the AirCells.
Built inside each AirCell is an "Automatic
Oil Return System" (referred to as AORS).
With every rebound stroke of the fork, any
oil that has migrated into the AirCells is
automatically returned to the appropriate
fork.
Are the
AirCells adjustable?
Absolutely! Each AirCell has an adjustable
Air Compression Damping Valve (ACD Valve).
This valve controls how fast the compressed
air can enter the AirCells, allowing you
to control how plush you want your forks
to feel and how much dive your forks have
entering a corner. The ACD valve has an internal
by-pass system that allows the high pressure
compressed air to return to your forks un-restricted.
This helps eliminates suspension packing.
You have complete control!
Do I
have to add oil to my forks when using
the AirCells?
Here are a few guidelines for deciding. We
strongly recommend you always check your
motorcycles owners manual for recommended
compression and rebound settings before adjusting
the oil level.
Assuming your springs are right for your
weight and riding ability - NO. If you are
not bottoming out on the largest obstacles
(jumps), you should not have to add any oil.
Light bottoming a few times per lap is acceptable.
If you are bottoming hard, you can add 5
cc of oil to each fork and then re-test until
the bottoming is minimized.
